Another one of Britain's favourites lost.

One of the most talented women we've ever had around us. Rest in peace, Vickie. :(

A very talented lady. I saw one of her early performances when she was the support act for Jasper Carrott. That was at Cheltenham Town Hall and I'm pretty sure it was 1976.

RIP

This news came as a great shock. Such a young age.

An incredible talent that will be sorely missed.
R.I.P. Victoria, and thanks for all the side splitting laughter over the years.

A genuinely funny lady , of whom there are few around. A terrible and tragic shame

And now the singer Prince, dead at 57. I have a few of his albums, and I think he was every bit as innovative as David Bowie.

The world has become a very much poorer place since New Year's day. :(

Yet another sad day. I always admired Prince's work, especially his earlier songs. I played in a band in 1990/91 and we used to do a couple of cover versions of his songs. A lot of people don't realize just what an accomplished musician he was and the fact that he played almost all of the instruments on his studio albums. 1999 and Sign o' the Times are my two favourite Prince albums.
