Yorkshire Farmer's Pig

Post by Tomliner »

Bill and Fred leaning on Bill's farm wall.

"summat wrong with yon sow", Bill said

"Yer, I can see, it wants mating". Fred replied

"put her in wheelbarrow and wheel her down

the lane to my farm and we will put her to m'boar"

So they did. "how will I know if she caught"

"Easy, have a look at her in morning if she's eating

grass bring her back and we will try her again

but if she's rolling in t'mud she's caught"

In the morning Bill see the pig eating the grass,

So puts it in the wheel barrow and down the

lane to mate the sow again.

Next morning the pig is eating the grass so in

the wheel barrow and back down the lane.

This goes on all week, until Saturday, when Bill

decides to have a lay in. When his wife brings

him a cup of tea, he say's, "Flo, look out of

window and see if pigs eating grass, or rolling in t'mud"

"No" she says "pig's sitting in the wheel barrow"

Apologies. We didn't have Yorkshire pigs, only Gloucester Old Spots.
