The thing that really bugs me, is the American pro-gun lobbyists saying 'if everyone packs a gun, someone will take out the terrorist'. This has, as far as I'm aware never happened. Certainly not in the mass shootings of recent years.
America seems far more willing to legislate to arm everyone, including the terrorists than protect the public. Ludicrous!

My thoughts and prayers go to all of the families who have needlessly lost loved ones. People who would still have been alive, if it wasn't for the pro-gun lobby insisting that it should be able to sell its wares to any idiot who comes through the door.

Despite my somewhat flippant comment regarding the US police, I certainly do not condone the assassination of police, as has now happened.

The whole setup stinks. I wonder what the assassins' background and motives are, and whether they picked on certain officers, or just shot uniforms. I am deeply shocked and saddened by events like this.

My post, made no attempt to apportion blame, or take sides. I'm just appalled at the totally needless loss of life. Be that in communities or law enforcement.
Only when we no longer judge by race, creed, colour or religion will the Human race truly come of age.
