Took me a lot longer to clock it, but I see now. Looks like a nuclear weapon has gone off in S.A. :-O

Very much so, Mike. In fact, when I lived there, somebody recovered one of the P-51 Mustangs that'd been left out in the test area, and flew it to Adelaide. What a shame the locations of Maralinga and the sun in the photo don't correspond. :lol:


EDIT: On further googling, I found this about the Maralinga Mustangs, and the one they flew. I remember it very well because it landed at Para Field, just up the road from where we lived;
