Questions About Operation Performance of Bristol Britannias

Post by Aharon »

Shalom and greetings all my pals

I have questions about operating procedures of Bristol Britannias please. :help: :help: :help: :help:

What is minimum runway distance for Britannia's take off?

What is minimum runway distance for Britannia's landing?

What is realistic cruising altitude for Britannia?

What is realistic cruising speed for Britannia?

What is realistic climb rate for Britannia?

What is realistic descent rate for Britannia?

Thanks for any help.

Regards,

Aharon

Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Thanks, Archer

But money does not grow on trees so do not want to spend $$$ on operating manuals although it is awesome to see official EL AL operating manual for Bristol Britannia!

Aharon

I can understand that but the questions you asked are quite specific. Unless someone else has a set of manuals for the Britannia you might just get a few guesses. The advantage of these manuals is that you can sometimes go through the entire preflight calculations using the tables in the manuals. Depends a bit on what's in them, with some types the needed tables are in separate documents that are often not available.

I have a photocopy of Chapter 1 but it only gives locations of instruments etc - no speeds.

You could try ebay
