Sometimes I Wonder Why!

Post by Nigel H-J »

I didn't read the FSUIPC Manual thoroughly!

As I have Track IR I use the Hat Switch for elevator and aileron trim as well as the using the mouse wheel for elevator trim for quicker trimming (had changed the default value settings in the .ini file) as using the Hat Switch the trim is much slower than I would have liked.

Only after spending quite a bit of time going through the manual did I find that the trim speed can be increased/decreased to your needs and also saved for any particular aircraft. Though it is a comprehensive manual I only wish that Peter Dowson had done one along the lines of FSUIPC for Dummies as the instructions to assign and vary the trim speeds to me were put in a far too technical manner, or is it just my age?

Nigel.

No.. you're not alone. I briefly skipped through it years ago and thought to myself.. 'I haven't got the faintest idea what this is on about'.. and gave up.
