Graham made me do it.

Post by airboatr »

Hello chaps

Recently, I was invited to view items being sold from the estate of Astronaut Dr. Edgar Michell.

Many of the items were being sold at prices far beyond my means , but I did find a few items that I could afford.

Browsing through the countless items, - I saw a few envelopes and postcards that were mailed from Houston Control, and Cape Canaveral during the mission, and upon closer inspection of one of the envelopes... I noticed the stamp used to post it, had a herd of African elephants on it! :-O
Instantly I recalled Graham's post of the joke he shared with us some time ago

and thought.... Perfect! Edgar loved puns .. he would've gotten a kick out of it. I certainly did, so I bought it. :agree:

I owe you one Graham ;)

If you insist Joe, a litre of 15yr Bruichladdich would go down nicely :agree:

Careful Joe, probably cost you heap more than the amount you paid for the envelope!! :hide:

Sorry Graham.

That's an interesting item! If figured the photo below might be appropriate. It's the Apollo 14 command module that is on display at Kennedy Space Center. Difficult to photograph as it is encased in perspex but still inspiring to see up close!
