Hello,

Thanks to all for the Birthday wishes, so much appreciated.

Instead of having the day off, am sat at work, looking at a 109E colour scheme and trying to work out a problem with a Spitfire II undercarriage leg. Love my job so much, something different every day. But, am not doing the role that I was first offered, haven't touched that for months and now am Technical Manager on 5 warbird projects, 3 Spitfires, a Hurricane and the said 109.

Still keeping an interest in simming through work as we are developing our own Virtual Reality cockpits based on what we do already for the film and TV industry. Working closely with friends from the Southwest Flight Simulator Group, we hope to have the first, a Spitfire 9 up and running for the Cosford Show. Very exciting times ahead and with our back catalogue including F-35s, we can see a viable market for accurate cockpit recreations and not just for the VR user.

Not doing so much real flying now (only twice this year so far), but got a lot lined up for the year, including my 14th Harvard. And as to them busy too, with a number of colour scheme projects on the go, all in the UK. So, no real time for simming if there was any.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Many thanks for the greetings gents. Off into town for a meal later with immediate family so I will have that pint Joe and possibly a dram or three! Think I'll keep away from the pc when I get back though. :agree: EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!

With a job like yours Martin it sounds more enjoyable working with real aircraft than on a PC flying them.

Hope you have an enjoyable meal Eric, all you have to do after it is make sure that your credit card says no!
