Another classic going to the scrapyard! :(( Oh well, at least it gave the Nay 41 years solid service.

Nothing but admiration for those pilots after viewing this. :-O

That film highlights well what RN pilots have to put up with on a regular basis :-O Not often you get Leuchars pitching like that

Gents , luckily I was on the ground for the last leg of their flypast day .
Compton Abbas EGHA - Yeovilton EGDY , a grey day for a grey lady .

Image

Last Lynx Leg 1 . Inbound to Compton from the East

Image

Last Lynx Leg 2 . Westbound past Compton .

Patio , Restaurant , Car park , Verges , all packed . 5 mins later as the Gems faded to the West , Compton a ghost town , flying over for the day , lowering cloud and mizzle blowing in on the strengthening , wild , West wind . A grey Navy day to say farewell and thanks .

Our Ops ' gurl ' , embarrassed herself ... She was on the phone as 'Lynx formation' signed off ......... So a very quick reply ..
'' Thanks for the flyby , Hope to see you again soon '' ! .............. If Navy read this ...She blushed .
