Also saw this a day ago on sim-outhouse, would not expect a runway to get torn up so badly.

I suspect the pilot was surprised, much later when he was told, I bet during takeoff the pilot had no idea.

We used to do that regularly to the Sharjah runway with Venoms...That runway was Oil Bound Sand!
