Home alone!!!

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps,

The boss has just left for a week in Sorrento. She's staying in Berkshire tonight with the friend she's going with and flying out tomorrow lunchtime-ish. Now.. she's made meals for me for every day she'll be gone but DIDN'T write days on any of them. What the hell am I going to do?????!!!!! :dunno:

I've told her that she won't come back to a weeks worth of washing either as I'll be wearing the same clothes for a week

Oh the humanities :guinn:

As long as she's written the precise cooking instructions on each one Dave, I think you might be OK. :worried:
Cheers & ATB

Hmm.. the local pub isn't that local.. it's full of pond life and the landlord and landlady are my cousin and his wife. Fortunately, the fridge is well stocked with Boddingtons and sausage rolls! Plus.. my aunt and uncle are on hand in the village if I start to starve

Ha Ha...I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets meals pre prepared when SWMBO departs for other climes. I have the same problem with how to cook them & she always thinks I need to eat more than I do!
At least I know how & what to feed the most important member of the family.....the dog!

I did actually say to her 'what the hell do you think I'm gonna do while you're away.. EAT and nothing else'?

The cooking part isn't a problem. I did 12years of that at our last pub  Deciding what to have will kill me and the boss hopes I don't go into 'Can't be arsed' mode

The boss is at Naples airport waiting to board G-GATJ (A320-232) for the return flight. This leaves me just a few hours to kick all the party girls out, hide a weeks worth of washing and fill the bin up with empty beer cans

She has but is looking forward to getting home. Me too as I won't have to cook again

Highlights.. she liked Capri, Amalfi and Pompeii.

Disappointments.. Sorrento. My aunt and uncle told her what a lovely place it was and they enjoyed it enough to go back a couple of times with my mom and dad. However, that was approaching 40years ago and it's changed a lot as you'd expect. No more the quaint little Italian resort. Over-priced and very tourist oriented. Cindy, who Alison went with, booked trips every day of their stay so she's looking forward to having a rest

Dave, :shhh:
Chuck the beer cans on the front lawn, tell her that hooligans have been partying night after night, and you're exhausted from lack of sleep.
That should earn you a good meal and light duties for a few days.
Cheers, Mike.
