Bruntingthorpe Cold War Jets

Post by Hot_Charlie »

Dear all,

Shameless promotions time...

This is my annual May plug for the Cold War Jets Open Day at Bruntingthorpe, a week on Sunday (28th May). There'll be the normal large selection of classic British jets running, so if you're looking for something to do, give it a thought.

As for the VC10, it should be on first, so there should be public access all afternoon if you want to see and smell inside a live British airliner (sort of!). :)

C :)

The fares are a bit of a negative, quite apart from the aircraft, the aerojumble would be interesting.
I think I'll have to pass this up. :(
Pity I'll miss the static display of hot food. :|
Cheers, Mike.

Mike... if you set off now and can manage 57 mph average you will be there just as the gates open

 True. That or "you're taking the kids whilst I stay at home".

Rick, DaveG - if you do come along, feel free to pop over to the VC10 when something less interesting is on. ;)

I'd love to come too, but I will have to give this one a miss (again). I have plugged it on my site as well though. Have fun!

I see gates are open at 9:00. Any idea what times things are due to happen?
