A creature of the night fright

Post by Airspeed »

It was dark, no street lights here. Foggy and light drizzle, wipers on intermittent mode.
I pulled up at the gate, decided to run a trolley down the driveway while I had the headlights going.
Walked back to the van, and as I half slid onto the driver's seat, there was a throaty growl behind me.
In less time than it would take to think "Oh my goodness, whatever might that be?"(this IS a family-friendly site, remember)
I froze, :-O then laughed.
It was the rear window wiper, still going, but scraping over the dry glass.
Cheers, Mike.

I'd mark that one up to a silver moment, Mike. I spent an huor looking for my keys today. I had been grocery shopping, came home put away the groceries and then needed to go out again. Could not find my keys, house key and car key all on the same ring. I looked high and low, inside and outside, defying the logic that I must have had them to open the front door. I usually place them on an old antique washstand by the front door. Nope, no sign of them. I finally found them in a kitchen drawer. I had flung them there while putting away the groceries. Another senior moment.
