Real flight simulator

As I understand there is still a Trident working simulator owned by some-one though often wondered if it still is in use?

There certainly was A Trident simulator still functioning in the not too distant past. Can't remember where but in the south of England rings a bell.

EDIT#2.. found reference to one at Biggin Hill and that rings VERY big bells. This one may be dead, or fixed and sold to the British Legion.. according to a thread on Pprune

Agree Dave. Even though this was a fixed non motion sim, as soon as the sounds and visuals become active it very difficult not to believe its real. I was absolutely shattered afterwards with the concentration and emersion that the experience gives you.

You mention that John.. both DM and I felt the same having been put in the RH seat for our flights Everything was in the wrong place!

That is a different one Dave, I remember one being auctioned on (I think on E-Bay) some years ago, the owner was asking in the region of £15,000 for it then, it did make an appearance at Wickenby Airfield near Lincoln when it was shown on their website. The proper Trident Simulator is, as I remember as you wrote, somewhere in the darker regions of England.

No amount of Googling has pointed me to it.
