No thanks,
On radio last night, they mentioned fishermen going out in 3 metre "tinnies in and around the Adelaide River.
There's some concern about "a 6.1 metre crocodile called Brutus, who is rather good at jumping.
So I'll skip my turn, thanks Joe!
Hope yours isn't too serious. Still, it may warrant some extra attention from your girlfriend. :)
Cheers, Mike.

Hiya Mike,
Of course you knew my post was in jest.. I wouldn't want you to be bitten again.. this one hurts as bad as the last bite.
It's festering up something fierce! Different leg though.. on my upper calf..

..
I'll send you a pic if you want,... That way you can print it out and see what it taste like :)
It's festering up something fierce! So By the looks of it I'd guess - *-) grizzly bear... You know...gamy?

OK Boss, Unless the doctor has already got you on something, you'd better hit it with lots of disinfectant.
As we both know, it's the bacteria that go in with the venom that case most trouble, and you don't want blood poisoning.
Look after yourself Ol' Pal!
Cheers, Mike.

Hi Mike
Thank you for asking.
This bite wound is healing much faster and the wound area is perhaps 1/3 the size of my previous wound.
However this bite was much more painful during the time it came to a head and drained. About 7 days
Excruciating pain.. I wasn't able to walk on it for 5 minutes or so after rolling out of the rack.
And then I couldn't stand for too long before I had to get back to bed.

But now 3 weeks later the pain is gone. I'm not bothered by it much at all.. infact the dressing and tape tugging on my skin is more bothersome.
There is a lot of collagen covering the hole left from the venom. When I flex my calf muscle I can see the muscle move.
Pretty cool.
Curious?

Just for comparison ..this was my first bite (over 2 years ago) about 3 weeks after the first sign of swelling

Perhaps I'm building an immunity to the toxin.. *-)

.....
PS I didn't go to a hospital so I don't have any pictures of me in a moo moo .... besides, would DB approve?. :wasntme:

Ouchie!! :-O Glad you're on the mend, Joe. I thought your wound, in the first picture, looked familiar. Looks kinda like the fireball from the old Super Mario Bros. game. :hide:

Oh YUK!
Almost sorry I asked, but I couldn't just let you rot alone!
You didn't go to horsepiddle, but did you get any medical help?
Cheers, Mike.

Mike,
There isn't much a doctor is going to be able to do about the wound. What's done is done.
The only thing to be concerned about is infection. I've not seen any sign of it so I haven't see a physician.
....
There is one other thing I should say .. eating all my vegetables when I was a kiddie made me rough and tough and hard to bluff... Young bucks take note. :)
