I used to enjoy repeat episodes of "Whatever happened to the likely lads" when I was younger. Always seemed a nice chap. RIP

I'm not good at remembering names, but having read the report, I remember the man.

Watching the repeats? Strewth, Toby, some of us are old enough to remember the original broadcasts of "Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads" and what's more, even the series that preceded it - "The Likely Lads" - in the 1960s! ;)

The papers here have been full of the falling-out between Bewes and co-star James Bolam in the 1970s which, despite a number of attempts, was never healed. A shame and now it's too late.
