Orbx Purchases Earth Simulation Assets.

Post by Nigel H-J »

May be very good news for previous customers of Earth Simulations.

Alderney will be the first island to be released within 3-4 months for FSX and P3D so for those who have missed out on this island.....get ready!!

No mention of the Isles of Scilly. *-)
I've got all the ES stuff installed in P3d already, so I'll have to wait and see if it's worth the "upgrade".

Hi Dave, you could always ask them, I'm sure that you are not the only one that would want it unless it is being added to True Earth UK. :dunno:

I bought the lot back then.
I think that Jersey was on the horizon, but not finished at the time they closed, so I may be in the market for that.
Cheers, Mike.

Tony Meredith finished Jersey, and it's very good. I installed it when it was available as freeware from his website. I don't know if it is still there, but you could try www.arm-computers.co.uk

As far as I'm aware, that version was not connected to the defunct ES Jersey. It's still very good though. :)

ES Guernsey always used to bring my PC to a standstill in FSX, so I never really used it much. It's better in P3d, although still heavy compared to Alderney and Scilly.

Thanks, Den,
Went there, but no Jersey, and the two links to the original files go to dead ends.

Jersey is ( was) on this page : http://www.arm-computers.co.uk/Photo_Sc ... jersey.php
On my phone at the moment, so can't really check if the download link actually works.

Dave,
I was looking on the wrong pages, checked several, but didn't realise that it was photo scenery.
Download went fine, did some comparative default and after - screen shots, and it is a vast improvement!
Thank you both for your help.
Cheers, Mike.
