Yep, you guessed it....Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

So Farage is not the only Nigel who likes a drop? Being an ex publican, I'm partial to the odd one or two myself.

In France, Le Gin?
Put Nigel in a Gite, and there would be a big explosion.

Oh, well done, Den!
I had to look up gite, didn't remember that from French lessons in the late 50s.

Maybe, like me, many have gone to the Colonies. When I was first here, there were absolutely no other Nigels' and you would keel over with laughter at some of the Colonists attempt to pronounce my name correctly. Now there are far more around. One plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and there are others on sports teams that I hear about. Aside from that,I ran into a Uni classmate several years after graduation who told me he had named his first son Nigel because he and his wife liked the name so much. So myabe Nigel is a vanishing breed in the UK but the Colonists are doing their bit to compensate even though there is a long way to go to beat Archie, Buddy, James, John, Jackson and Liam. That last one, the most popular in 2018 according to google.
