I use PayPal with my MS account, but now you mention it I seem to recall having an issue with it using my paypal balance a few years back. *-)

I don’t think it’s going to have any ardent simmers salivating when it’s released, but I think it’s got huge potential and I’d like to see where it goes. Everyone seems to be saying the same thing about the SDK, but it’s very encouraging the PMDG seem to be saying it’s being worked on at quite a rate.

One strange thing I noticed, I wanted to pay using PayPal but for whatever reason it would not let me pay using the balance I had in my account, I could only do a bank transfer, weird.
Now that is something I don't like to hear, I never pay for on-line purchases with my bank card it is always done by credit card and whatever is purchased during the month is paid off as soon as we get the bill. I have a thing about using bank cards on-line and do not do on-line banking. At least if my card number is stolen through a hack there is a limit on the amount that can be taken but with a bank card, they could withdraw quite a bit. No sorry, if I ever want MS2020 I will only pay through credit card and if they won't let me I won't purchase it.

Today, we announced Microsoft Flight Simulator will support VR platforms beginning fall 2020 as a free update.
Now that is worrying, free-update eh? Now what little nasty surprises are we going to face with other updates? I am sorry but I am a bit suspicious about the way the free- update has been written.

PS. Don't forget to read the small print very careefully!! :poke:

Regards
Nigel.

You are paranoid Nigel aren’t you 🤣

It just means you won’t have to pay extra when VR is enabled, it’s a free update.

And the PayPal thing just seems to be that it if you have a balance in your PayPal account, it can’t seem to use it. It still takes the payment from PayPal, but from the bank account or bank / credit card you have registered with PayPal. You can still pay by credit card if you prefer. PayPal is just one of the payment mechanisms on offer.

In case you missed it, MSFS is appearing in the mainstream media:

This is going to do wonders for recruiting into the hobby

This is also a great video regarding MSFS graphics settings:

Does anybody have any advice regarding whether to buy via Microsoft's own store vs. Steam (or any others) please???

I do buy most things via Steam these days, but I'm hesitating in case it impacts my ability to install addons and make modifications... Any perspectives on this please?

Many thanks

Andy
