Hi Mike. Looking at that shot, I sometimes see the reflector as convex, and at other times concave.
You are not the only one.
It's a very nice form of optical illusion and when I first opened the page I thought the lamp body was pointing towards the top left corner of the photo and it stayed like that for many seconds while I tried to work out what I was seeing. When I blinked everything 'flipped over' and pointed to the lower right corner and it all made sense!
When I am making 3D models I have to be very careful as I can have the parts 'flip over' on me while working on them especially if they are in wire-frame mode and it can get very confusing very quickly!
