Two suggestions that this is a Boeing 247.
It is not a Boeing at all, folks.
I guess it was thought of at the time, as the fashionable shape for the front of an aeroplane.
That should save some wasted time.
I'm stumped too, almost a DC2 copy but rudder horn balance different as are the undercart legs. It looks as if it has the Jack Northrop wing design, but its not listed as being his. Bulged rocker blisters - possibly European influence?

Tailwheel is also wrong in the profile picture too, which had me for a while, once I disregarded the landing gears as 'artist's errors ' it was a matter of finding DC2 copies.
