Two pairs of props? The plot thickens.
I think I went off on the wrong track altogether and couldn't get back on the right one.

Can’t find any mention of a Merlin 140 either. I’m getting an early night but I wait with baited breath for the morning. I did read mention of a prototype but from what I read it never flew, so think I’m off tract too.

Must admit that I couldn't find a Merlin 140 in the list of variants on the web, but that's what the power plants were described as.
Who got there?

Peter W (Milesman)
Kevin Farnell
Congratulations Gentlemen (sound of clapping and cheering)
Keith's reference to Desperate Dan, I think this is the variant :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sturgeon_SB3.jpg
I believe that there's a long-nosed version at Tangmere, btw.
