Just a quick one, discovered that prior to our Ben's TSR-2, there was a TSR I and a TSR II.
Do you know what they were?
Post your answers in this thread to win a kewpie doll.

Re: TSR TSR TSR
Having looked up images of 'kewpie doll' online, I don't think that I would post a reply even if I new.
By the way, did you also know that there was a TSR.38?

Re: TSR TSR TSR
Well, I was going to reply that the Torpedo-Spotter-Reconnaissance I was the original Swordfish prototype with the T. S. R. II being the second, more advanced version but as I've no idea what a kewpie doll is - and have no wish to win one, thank you - that disqualifies me so please disregard my last transmission.

Re: TSR TSR TSR
A pair of Kewpie Dolls could be worth as much as $500. So I'm willing to take all those that are not wanted.

Re: TSR TSR TSR
Like wot Pete said, but he said it first. The roman numerals indicate they were pre 1950 odd too.
I recall hearing the Canberra being referred to as the TSR1 but no idea how definitive that was. My English Electric history is buried under Crimbo preparations.
Kewpie sheep or nothing!

Re: TSR TSR TSR
I knew about the Swordfish (TSR2), and I vaguely know what kewpie dolls are ( which I hereby donate to the needy at Christmas time ). Don't know about the original TSR, unless we are talking about the Russian monarch .
Re: TSR TSR TSR
Pete and Allan are both right. The Canberra was in some quarters referred to As TSR in its early days, obviously a different use of the acronym than the earlier Faireys. TSR2 was so called as it was a replacement for the Canberra…
Ben.

Re: TSR TSR TSR
Ah but TSR isn't an acronym - it's an initialism.
