Locking up the horses

Post by Airspeed »

Poncho, our miniature white horse, enjoys a last minute run before getting stuck into his supper each night.
Normally, he does an intense gallop, but tonight, it was just a fast trot; thought I'd share it with you anyway.
Clicking on the little double arrow top right makes it a bit bigger.
Love seeing animals enjoying themselves. Note halfway through his second lap, he kicks his back legs up - sure sign that he's happy :agree:

Cheers, Mike.

Looks like he's having fun Mike. I mentioned to my wife that he's almost as tall as our oldest daughter's dog to which she said "Yeah but Poncho is a lot stockier!"

The dog in question is a 1 year old Great Dane that is the size of a small donkey, in fact I refer to him as the 'house donkey!' Our 3 year old grand-daughter can walk under his belly while just slightly tipping her head!

Wonderful horse Mike, you can see how friendly and happy it is!!

When I worked in a hotel at Stow-on-the-Wold on my days off I used to go to Langstone Carriage Stables near Kingham and used to clean the stables in return for free rides, my favourite was a half Arabian but there was also a Shetland Pony and he was lovely, I used to sit on a bale of straw and he would come up to me very closely so that he rested his head against mine it was a wonderful experience from a pony that was so trusting and friendly.

Regards
Nigel.
