Graphics MS2020

Post by Nigel H-J »

I am finding that the runways are 'orrible but not sure how to beef them up to You Tube standards as they look better than mine. I you have any ideas then please let me know. My settings are at High

Also I have just seen that there are a number of updates waiting some in Japan others worldwide. Do I have to install them in a certain order from bottom up or to it top down?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards
Nigel.

Now sure what to suggest Nigel. There are no specific setting for runway fidelity. The only setting which will affect are the overall screen resolution and the level of detail both terrain and buildings. As far as airports go I think the lod settings are set in the airport mdl which is why you can see them a long way out where everything else at that distance is a blur. I'm only running on HD 1920 by 1080 or whatever and the runway detail is acceptable for me. Many of the vid's you see are in 4k. Much sharper obviously but if your hardware can't support it (mines a 43in HD TV) then it's a compromise. Are the instruments clear in the cockpit? They don't look bad in the photo.
Doesn't matter of the order of you updates. I usually click select all and let it get on with it.

Bear in mind, some of the YouTube vids may well be using addon airports with custom runway textures.
As far as the updates are concerned, you can install them in any order you like.

Hi Dale and Dave, many thanks for your replies, the instrumentation is very good and I do think my post was related to videos I have seen on You Tube. I run mine at 1920X1080 and graphics set at high, also computer is an i7-9700K not overclocked with 32 Gb RAM.

Runs really well at those settings and not pushing for any more. Also thanks regarding updates, did not realise how many had been stacking up before coming across them, now all installed!!

Again, many thanks.

Regards
Nigel.
