Just been watching 72 episodes of Poirot. Beautifully made with lots of classic steam trains, classic cars, costumes, architecture, buses etc.
It took a while, but it was worth it.

Ahh good old Hercule! I watched the shows in the UK the first time around and I have watched them here in Canada along with my Canadian wife (v2.0). I also have a pair of omnibus books which have several of the shorter stories in each volume. Always fun!

I assume that is the series with David Suchet, that is one of my favorites. I can't image anyone but him as Poirot, he really was the character.
Joe Cusick,

Yes, on screen I agree 100%, Joe, but those of you like me who enjoy radio plays (and have access to BBC Sounds) might like to try John Moffatt's radio version of Poirot. I think he catches the voice and accent even better than Suchet but, of course, Suchet wins hands down in looks.blanston12 wrote: ↑26 Jun 2024, 18:26I can't image anyone but him as Poirot, he really was the character.
Here's a link to the first of five 30-minute episodes of Agatha Christie's 'Mrs McGinty's Dead' to try: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/b01b1zss
