So much for today's launch. There is an almighty wailing and gnashing of teeth on the Avsim forum. I'm going to give it a day or two before attempting to install.

Awful, honestly if there was a way not to lauch this, they've nailed it. You can't customise the ocation of the community folder at the moment, so it will only go I your windows user profile (in the %AppData% area) on the C drive... even if you install it on a different drive. If you want to play it, you're presented with a screen saying that there is high demand and you are in a queue - streaming working well :worried:

***UPDATE***

To change the community folder MSFS2024 (MS Store version).

1. Install MSFS2024
2. Launch MSFS2024... then close it as soon as it gets to the main menu screen.
3. In file explorer go to "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache"
4. Find the file "UserCfg.opt" and open it in notepad (or similar)
5. Find the line that begins "InstalledPackagesPath" (it was the last line for me) and change the value to the path of your choice; mine is "E:\MSFS2024" - the speach marks are important. My line now reads:- InstalledPackagesPath "E:\MSFS2024"
Save the file and restart the sim.

Good info, Ben - thanks for that!

I think FS2020 will be installed for a bit longer than anticipated.
