We spent the usual 2 1/2 hours in the waiting room at Ballarat Base Hospital today.
Fortunately, I was seated next to a bloke doing cryptic crosswords. This led to a conversation which extended into his career as a Royal Navy helicopter pilot during the Cold War, and on to his later life in the Southern Hemisphere.
At this stage, I'll say no more than that I really enjoyed talking to him, and told him of CBFS.
Maybe he will join and tell us some tales, maybe he won't.
