Leif,

Distinct lack of US registered 748s:

the 2 Cascade (117CA, 118CA)

2 Air Virginia (748AV, 749AV)

and the 2 Air Illinois (748LL, 749LL)

plus a couple of oddments (passing through?)

Thats all I could dredge up as well Ian - I see two others that are transient registrations - and when I went into the FAA website they were struck in the late 60s so there is no telling wether they were ever actually assigned to the aircraft and there is no mention of the carrier

Over at AeroTranport Databank, I found the following additional US registration -

N43AZ - Aviation Consultants (Srapped in Singapore)

I don't have dates for its scrapping or anything (don't want to pay another 80 Euros for that access), just that the above was the aircraft's final registration prior to scrapping. It lists as being formerly V2-LIK and the FAA is showing that the plane was exported on 17 July 1989.

If it helps, the Serial was 1583.

Garry/Chris

Re TACV (Cabo Verde)

''The one I have is a basically white livery with the tail in a blue logo arrangement.''

Yes, I have seen that photo. Reckon it is in a 'reserve fleet' livery there as my photo definitely shows aforesaid stripes and definitely black nose radome. I will see if I can scan my print at work and attach/send it here early next week.

All the best,
