Yes I've fitted it and a nice soundpack and I'm enjoying my Recording in a new light

I like the new panel very much

Remember to put some fading effects on the orange wingtip paint.

Like so:

And you can also see from that, that the paint doesn't have that 'checker board' kind of look. It's one, overall light grey/silver.

Just a bit of constructive criticism

Wahey, now I know I'm getting somewhere, if people are taking a poke before I've finished. :poke:

Seriously Tweek, your critique is appreciated. I did emphasise this was a WIP, and my skills are still pretty embryonic anyway; part of the problem with this repaint is that there is no proper paintkit, as Tim does his (excellent) work using Corel - so I am using his master copy, as supplied with the T-33, and working with that to the best of my abilities, poor as they are. The 'checkerboard' effect is slightly overpowering, and I am working to alleviate it, without having to go all the way back to basics and set up a PSD kit with panel lines, detail etc. To an extent this is a 'quick & dirty' repaint to fill a gap in the virtual skies and accompany Igorski's G-SABR paint.

I'm not sure how to handle the fading. Although it is pronounced in the shot you linked to, it is markedly less so in a lot of other pictures. Frankly I don't want to overdo it, so I probably won't do it!

F-86 panel enhancement

Post by Quax the crashpilot »

Only to give notice:

As already posted there is a North American F-86 Sabre panel enhancement made by Luis da Costa Pereira & Fabio Bonoldi available.
Reworking some of the gauges just for my own use I discovered that some of Saverio Maurri's work is included.

L_F-86.CAB

flaps_lever.xml
G_meter.xml
RPM.xml
Trim.xml

May be they just forgot to ask for permission or to give personal credit. They chose the easy way:

"Finnaly, we would like to thank (its never enough) all the fantastic gauge designers that make all these panel layouts possible... without them we would have to fly the dull and unreal FS9 default panels...., thank you again, all you guys!!"

lonely man with medical problems to boot but none the less you just don't
seem to want to go away. You continue to come back for yet another
embarrassing ass whipping!

So if what you say is true then why does the AVSIM readership and library
uploads continue to grow by leaps and bounds?

Stewart you are absolutely the most pathetic excuse of a person I have had
the displeasure of knowing! About all I can say to you at this time is to go
fuck yourself and I hope to never hear from you again you worthless piece of
shit!

There I said it and now I'll feel guilty for being honest and direct about
my feelings toward you. Opps, looks like I'm over it already!

Last time I reckon I'll bother trying to help that lot.

I had dealings with Rossner last year. I politely asked him if Avsim had received my file, which was an update for one of my repaints. He took the opportunity to criticize me for not ensuring the original file was perfect (!?). Over twelve thousand people downloaded my original repaint, and not one person complained about the quality of the repaint. My update file made the original repaint even better, rather than fixing some careless error!

Rossner left Avsim a little while ago (GOOD!)..... I won't miss him .

Sadly, Rossner was formed in the mould of Allensworth, and since the boss hasn't changed, I still tend to avoid the site. Too many bad experiences with that gentleman, especially when I was involved with SGA.

Hell, I think Erick Ortiz (VirtualAirlines.com), Erick Cantu (SGA/Vistaliners), and I are the only people in the world whom can claim that we've supposedly been banned from all AVSIM activities (like the AVSIM convention) for life. None of us have had the urge to test this banishment, but considering the reasons for it, we've had no reason to.
