it seems that on the 25th June, he was in South Africa to sit in on an attempt to fly a 2 seat BAC Lightning from standstill to 30,000 ft in 102 seconds. Apparently, the record was missed by 2 seconds! :shock:

Hey....what happened to that balloon thing (altituded record?) a couple of years ago off Corwall. I thought he was going to try that again but seems to have gone quiet.
