Is that rain on the lens or dust on the sensor causing the "dots" on the left edge?

Last two shots are great, could almost be a swarm of fighters on the way to shoot down some German bombers!

Tks Guys,

The only thing I've done with these is reduce them for here.. hence those blobs you've mentioned  I tried getting rid of the blobs with the traditional blower and brush and nada so.. against my better judgement, I used one of those little cans of compressed air and have successfully blown all the crap into the viewfinder  I showed it to DG who will testify looking through my 300D is not a happy experience  :dunno: :poke: Moth to a lamp I'm afraid :crying: The bummer is.. I only got rid of one of the original 3 blobs I had!!

I suppose that after 14,000+ shots.. the 300D is to all intents sh@gged anyway and not worth the clean up bill but abject poverty is precluding any near upgrade so I'm making do with the available hardware

Peter.. they do this every year.. at this time of the year (normally Duxford's second display out of the 4 they have) so get it in your diary. This particular show (Flying Legends) is primarily organised by TFC (The Fighter Collection) and excludes everything built after 1945 though this year was a first.. a Yak display with aircraft from the 60's. Flying Legends is quite unique in Europe and is a must for lovers of piston engined aircraft  I'll mail you next year.. well beforehand

I made exactly the same mistake with a can of air with one of my cameras  Also beware that if you hold it anything other than upright you'll get a nice dose of liquid/foamy propellant or something coming out too

Cleanup might not be that expensive, certainly no harm in asking at a shop. Pretty sure 'SteveS4' had to have it done to his 10D.

Rgr that Toby. I know the quality of Steve's shots so an address of where he sent his 10D to would be handy if poss  I tried a place recommended by Ben (by one of his semi-pro friends) and they never got back. Dunno if it was a job to far or if they couldn't be @rsed to reply
