reguarding the drink problem, i think if you drank at home and was called if off duty then they can't realy do much. unless you have a serious drink problem. 90% of the call's are whilst you are on duty. the company that you are registerd with has a computer that pick's random names . So thay know who is and is not on duty .the US are very strict on drinking, even more than the UK. if your over it's off to jail. no pussy footing about, orange uniform and don't drop the soap in the shower.
only one of my calls were whilst at home, the rest was in the truck via sat link. i know of one chap who went for a drug test and failed, within mins he was sacked and then it started to cost him. he had to pay for the drying out treatment and the follow up test's. only after a year could he try to gain employment.
reguarding on call, no i'am on 12hr shifts that run into 14hrs. it's company policy to have drivers tested on a regular basis.

Thats one piece of lucky driving. No skills whatsoever just sheer wrecklessness of the highest order. :tuttut:
Entertaining to watch on a test track perhaps.
I don't care for the people who choose to drive like maniacs in public.
However I do feel sorry for the innocent ones whose paths they cross as its so often those that end up being killed.
