Hi Guys

we wary of the Putnam 3 views as they are very basic and not very accurate.

My Jet provost was from the Putnam books which is why the cockpit bubble is very wrong.

I will search thtough all my mags today for some good leopard moth 3 views as i'm 99% sure i have a set somewhere.

But it might have been a Fox Moth not sure which it was.

Regards
Rick

Hi Alex

All i can find of good enough quality is a D.H.60M Moth

3 views and a full writeup with panel pic etc.

it's a strengthened "Gypsy Moth" for use as an RAF trainer 1928 onwards.

Let me know if you want it scanned as it's a few pages.

Regards
Rick

Rick,

If you have the time to scan it then I would appreciate it, especially for the shaping of the cowling and general idea about the tail.

Please don't rush - I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to research and won't rush into modelling until I've got everything I think I may need to start.

Many thanks,

Alex

Mind you a DH.60 Moth would go down extremely well too/either/or

If you want any scans of the performance data/odd few pics I can do those later.

The Leopard is a great looking aircraft. A quality version would make a lot of us happy

Ah I'm more of an inside type bloke you know, more than happy when I'm inside a nice enclosed cockpit, assuming I get this Leopard Moth cracked I think the next logical step would be the DH.87 Hornet Moth.

But we aren't that far down the line yet!

With your Salty background Mr B I don't suppose you have any images of this fine bird in her Fleet Air Arm colours do you? I can find out very little about the FAA birds, anyone know of any useful resources? any major changes made?

Ah! just found a reference that I don't have acess to! Does anyone collect Flypast mag?

2002 January edition Page 22
2002 February edition Page 86

All help appreciated,

Alex

Hi Alex

Are you GMAX or FSDS ?

I can supply you with a ready made Gypsy/cirrus cowling.
you will just need to adjust the width and rear side position.
Chipmunk Fin should also be identical and use as a guide shape at least.

Also have a ready built propeller for either engine. (inc spinning prop textures).

Will scan the 60M after lunch.

Hi Alex

I just offered as the front part of the cowling is the part that is hardest to shape & the propellers take ages and it just saves time.

Alex,

I can't find that edition but I have found March 2001 (Aeroplane) which features the Leopard Moth database.. 14 pages in all. If you want it, let me know and give me a few days for the scan
