... managed to escape the monotony of endless 727 flights for a trip on one of the Diesel 8s. Was a bit busy so just took the one rather poor pic;
We took 7 armoured land cruisers to Kabul. The doorway on the '8 seems to get smaller when you try & drive through it

LOL..... When I first saw it the first thing I thought about the GPS was that I have a better one in my car
Turned out to be a cracking bit of kit though!! Much better than some of the proper panel mounted ones I've seen.

If you like Diesel 8's come to Bahrain........ There are 4 -63s based here and the Astar & ATI examples are occasional visitors. There have been 6 here at one time before (& 7 based 727s, visiting VC-10s, etc).
