Royal Navy F-4's.. Zapped!
This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what happens when the Royal Navy sends its lovely F-4 FG.1's over to the US for a visit to Oceana NAS, they get "Zapped"!!!

No.. you're right Andy, it could have been much worse I saw a pair of RN F4's onboard USS Constellation in the Indian Ocean in the 70's ('75) on some sort of 'exchage' I presume but we never got close enough to see any detail in the markings (although the tail, like yours, gave them away in an instant). Our chaps must have thought landing on the Connie was like Heathrow by comparison to the Ark!!Dave.. I agree, at least they didnt do anythign too outragous!!
