The detail and 'feel' you've got onto that red which could so easily have been lifeless is astounding

AEXF is indeed still flying, being the sole surviving example of the type. It was rebuilt to the Alex Henshaw specs though after it's last crash so looks markedly different from it's original config:
Currently based at Breighton with the Real Aeroplane Company.
