Hi Chris, that was used as a generalisation, OK, probably not the right words to use but nonetheless it is directed at the way the programme is televised, heavy right foot and showing how fast one can drive the car. Yes, the majority is done on off-road but to me it sends out all the wrong signals as to how fast these cars can go.Incidentally that boy racer comment is rather bizarre
Call me a kill-joy if you like but only last month when on duty I had the terrible job of reviewing on camera the last few seconds of two young peoples' lives when their car, in a built up area, lost control and slammed straight into a building, all through excessive speed!!!!
I have seen too many deaths through vehicle accidents and feel that this show portrays speed as some kind of challenge.
Sorry, but this is my own personal view of such programmes, they should end it with the warning 'Speed can really hurt if you try this on the roads and c*ck-up'!!
