Came home early, as I have an 8 mile trip - heavy snow again. Got home about half hour ago, but snow seems to have stopped now. 6 inches in my village. - Not seen that ammount for years! :-O

Tomorrow will be worse with frozen slush/compacted snow as the temperature is supposed to get down to -5, so might stay put! :agree:

I'm on the inside looking out, and that's where I'm staying.

Saw a story on Auntie Beeb tonight about the snow in the UK! Impressive, I must say. I Know it's also very cold there, as it is here. In fact I don't think we have been above freezing in the last week except for maybe an hour or so today. Even the north part of Florida is cold. Hello Canada - while we appreciate your air masses when it's August and 34C, we prefer you keep it up north in January.

Great picture, btw - it looks so tranquil as long as you can stay warm inside and not have to drive anywhere.

Nigel, I'm with you on banning the import of Canadian air in the winter. We hit 12F yesterday, first time we made it into double digits this year. It snowed last night and today, so with the high pressure that follows tomorrow's high is forecast at -6F. :(

I don't normally think of heading to the Caribbean, but might have to make an exception this year.

Nice to see that Benson popped in with the lowest ever recorded temp last night at -17.8deg C (open to speculation depending on which side you watch) For some reason, Benson records 'the driest'.. 'the wettest'.. 'the windiest'.. 'the warmest'.. 'the coldest' figures anywhere in the region, and now in the country. Wonder if it's twinned with Dallas?? *-)
