Rick's Meteor and Nazca's Canberra worked perfectly in FSX, dunno about Acceleration. FS9 aircraft tend to cause errors in FSX Acceleration, including texture problems and such. Stuart Green's FS9 Sopwith Snipe will portover into FSX straight away, with no problems at all. And I also found a fully-FSX capable Airspeed Elizabethan available for download from classicbritishfiles.com.

Personally, most of the FS9 aircraft here work in FSX, with some of them having minor display issues. Those created with GMAX or FSDS3+, as well as 3DS MAX, should have no problems running in FSX. FSDS2 aircraft will display problems, especially within areas that aren't mapped, which will display as black if run within FSX.

Perhaps the question could be rephrased, "where are all the FSX-native British Classics"?

Ah...now I see why he's looking for the likes of Rob Richardson....Sadly I don't have the power to use GMAX at the moment, but I'll be learning to use it soon....to make my own collection of FSX native British aircraft for you guys in the near future...especially those forgotten such as the TSR.2 and the Nimrod AEW3

Currently the "best of British" aircraft that is FSX native is currently a payware fleet, with so few being freeware. Wonder why Ted Cook sticked with FS9 despite most of the other UK developers making the grand move from the 65,000 poly, 99,999ft limited FS9 to the 999,999,999ft FSX, which has more features that really gives the "best of British", thanks to scenery packages such as UK VFR and its add-on airports from the famed Trevor Clark, and aircraft from authors such as Dave Garwood and Rob Richardson, as well as the likes of Iris (the Vulcan) and Icarus (the Gladiator), of which are all FSX native, without anything coming from its older brother which has too many limitations to count that limits most of our enjoyment. Ted is one of those guys who just loves aircraft easily forgotten in the real world, to live them up within the bounds of MSFS. Had he used FSX though, I'd be expecting 3D gauges and bump and specular mapping by now.

In what way is the height limit in FS9 a problem?

I don't understand the bit about you not having the power to run Gmax....you don't need power to run it.........I doubt also if you can learn it and then make a series of classic British aircraft....have you any idea what is involved??

You will find that a lot, as with myself are still FS.9 as I don't have the power to run FS.X properly

It is not a wish to stick with something old.it's not a case of being bold and making the move.

Garry, I understand your wish to stay in FS9, however you should notice that people such as Brian Franklin and co. have just made the grand move to the 'X' side, and besides, its damn easy to find stronger computers to run FSX these days. I've seen hundreds of 'em on PC Pilot, particularly on its ads, find the one that suits FSX the best. Look for the best budget with the best quality to make sure its strong enough for Horizon's UK VFR scenery. I'm also looking for one to replace my old, rickety computer that turns MSFS into MSOPP (PowerPoint), making FSX into a slideshow.

Well, I've just got interested into making aircraft last month, seeing that we don't have that much of FSX native British aircraft. I didn't say I'd like to make a lot of them all at once, I'd do it one by one, and progressively. The Supermarine Attacker and the TSR.2 are currently two of my early choices, I don't see why we don't need these two in FSX.

But unfortunately there's no time for that for now, I'd just wait till the holiday season starts...at least, post Christmas..

As for the system......REALLY?! What did you spend your hard-earned cash on?!
