This could be the same problem we dealt with at length about a year ago. Gordon first identified a sound problem with FSX and Windows 7 and narrowed it down to using a Realtek Sound Card. Gordon's solution didn't work on my laptop but I think there are other ways round it.
For me, the problem only affected DM's aircraft and after exhausting all of my patience I just started flying other stuff instead
Here's the original thread which may (or may not) be of use!

What ? You must be bonkers!
How could you? The Comet and Trident are the best FSX planes out there. I've just read a review of the Just Flight Comet which has some reservations, but TBH I can't find any ( now the sound is sorted )with Mr Maltby's, flying it like I do with Trackir and VC. I am sat in the cockpit using my right hand on knobs and switches, almost the same way a real captain would. It just can't get more immersive than that!

You're not the first person to suggest that.

Use the aeromusica sounds if you're stuck Ian, you'd be daft not to.

I think this is as good a reason as any (as if any reason were needed) to stay in God's country.. the REAL sim.. FS9

Well, why didn't you say so before?
Like Kevin - I was aware of the existence of the Aeromusica sounds, but never really thought they were anything to do with me!
I've just installed them for the DM fleet and they have solved the W7/FSX/Realtek problem. Thanks, Ben.
At least I can now ignore DaveB's reactionary retro suggestion and follow the brave pioneering souls at the cutting edge of sim aviation technology
Anyone feel prepared for the Flight/Windows 8 challenge?

Win8 is still along way away and to really use the Metro interface properly you'll either need A: a touch screen (not really practical on a PC monitor IMHO) or B: a Kinect controller. If B makes it to the production release it could make things very interesting indeed

I now have these images of people playing Flight on Win8 with their arms out like wings making engine sounds as they move around their room.
