Yes know the 'Merchant' well as it stands close to the Varsity at Brooklands. I was there the other day when the spare cockpit section was moved beside it. I did speak to Dave a few months back. The Varsity team usually come in on Tuesdays, I'll be there tomorrow, but I also steward on board at various times. We have just completed the fitting of the Sperry bombsight and the analogue computer that the Varsity carried when in bombaimer training mode. Currently fitting new windows and looking into getting the intercom back up and more long term work has begun on reconnecting control surfaces starting with the flaps...and then of course theres' the paintwork etc etc. Thanks for all the responses.

Hiya Russ..

Ah.. it's moved as it :worried: Not been for a few weeks due to one reason or another :(

It'll be nice to see the Varsity back as it should be. It'd be nice to have her watertight too but that's another thing!

Yep. Still leaking and defying all attempts to trace the source especially in the bombaimers pod. I shall be baling out down there in the morning! Still, when the fabled 'Wing' is in place that should ease the problem... if the plane lasts that long!

Returning to the orig subject, I have put the Varsity into FSX, tried it in aircraft folder and sim objects (effects in effects)but still does not show up in FSX.

Hello Mate :hello:

Well.. I dragged it straight out of FS9 this afternoon and it showed up ok. The one thing missing is the thumbnail so you don't get a nice picture when you select aircraft. It should be there mate. *-)

EDIT: To find it a little easier, you might try selecting 'Vickers' from the manufacturer tab at 'Select Aircraft'.. that works as I've just tried it :)

The 'Vickers' fix worked thanks. Minus 2D cockpit and so far I have been unable to select versions but very pleased. Just had a quick flight from Waddington and back again. :welldone:

I love to see a happy chappie

The reason you're not seeing your 2D panel is because FSX defaults to the VC. The 2D panel is there.. you just have to find it  Seriously, it IS there but I can't remember which key will do it.. 'A' or one of the high F keys.. F10/F11/F12.. something like that

Hello Mate..

Yes, something I'd forgotten about  Right click and from the drop down menu, select cockpit ;)

Russ.. I'm in the process of making some thumbnails for the Varsity's so they'll show a picture at 'Select Aircraft'. Will have them finished by the end of play today and I'll post a link here ;)
