VICKERS VARSITY
Any chance that there is a version of the Varsity available for FSX or a way of porting it over? I regularly volunteer and work on the Brooklands Varsity on which the sim detail is based...even down to the photogrpahs on the panels replacing instruments we had not yet acquired! (But now have) I also flew in this one in 65 on an air ex flight from Stradishall. Having had such excellent instant help on installing the Chipmunk I thought it worth a try! Cheers RP

Hi RP
Welcome aboard
There are no FS.X mods to the Varsity, it's a case of putting it in FS.X and see what works
You must know our own Dave Booker (DaveB) ?, he is a volunteer on the Vanguard

Hi Russ. There is no FSX version I'm afraid though the model ports over pretty well. As you'll have seen, the Varsity is the most 'complete' of the 3.. the others being of course the Viking and Valetta. It's easy for me being Vanguard crew to gain access to the Varsity and she is (was) pretty much complete. Imagine the fun I had with the Viking which was completely stripped so rather more artistic license was needed

So.. it WILL go over to FSX but with the usual drawbacks

Garry.. Russ may not know me as I'm a Wednesday bod and I think the Varsity crew open on Sat. He'll know the rest of the team though

Nev.. there may be some repaints at Allnodes. Can't remember.. too long ago now

I don't know if that many have been done unlike the Viking
Any that were would have been done by people here so no doubt they'll shout
I don't remeber if I ever did one, I did do a civil Valetta

Re: VICKERS VARSITY
I have a BEARS Varsity (but then I would wouldn't I)
This, of course, was not on general release. I think Rick pretty much covered the Varsity's with the release.. there were not that many variations on a theme

Re: VICKERS VARSITY
As you say not a lot of options for something really different other than what Rick did
Ah yes the BEARS Varsity...what next a 748
BTW Dave...didn't you do a few Saturdays with the engine runs...I'm guessing they were all weekends

Hello Mate
Yup.. I've done a few but they've been few and far between.. as you say, engine runs (not done one of those for over 2 years now), courses or special occasions (PEP's 50th). When I took the Varsity shots, it was open every Wednesday but cross referencing that with the date of the Varsity airfile.. it was 29.9.2003
