Mike, thanks for that Moon picture. I honestly never realized the moon would look different down under. Not that I had really thought about it though. I learn something on here everyday. Now do maps and globes show the South Pole on top down there? I ask because North and South have to be relative terms - who knows what direction "North" is in the cosmos. Also showing the South Pole on top would make Aus a lot more prominent on maps. That may be a boon for the tourist industry., OK, It is late so I'll shut up!

Unfortunately, my higher math skill were not up to snuff. Anyway, I should have realized the moon looked "upside-down" in Oz because all of you are!

Oh, anyone in the UK remember the Walls Ice Cream wheel that had information on all the planets? That is what sparked my interest in Astronomy, that and "Journey into Space" on the wireless

I've often remembered tiny bits of that show, but forgot the title.

Like the old Airfix kits, it was educational.......
I have often remembered a destination where the beds were soft, warm and comforting when they retired, but cold & hard in the morning.
Jet had to explain to Lemmy that the beds were inflated with warm liquid at night, and this was drained at wake up time. Aha! Simple once you know the trick! And we were let in on the secret!

Of course, this was in the days when everyone was designing toasters, hair dryers, and who knows what else, to put in your car.

Mike, your a champ! Thanks for that link!!!! I was 11 in 1958 when those episodes were first broadcast. My father and I used to listen intently, I downloaded the zip and will relive my youth when I have some time. I also grabbed "The Red Planer" and "The World in Peril" Links to those are on the "Luna" page . Last time I was in London, I found cassette tapes of "Luna" in the BBC store but they were a too pricey for me so I passed them up at the time and since wished I had not. So another great big thanks!

I always liked "Lemmy.:" Maybe his accent or the fact he was a little slow on the uptake attracted me because I could relate to that!
