Hi agian Dave,
Hate to tell my granny how to sucks eggs, but.. the dihedral was an issue in the VC9 design, that's why you will see
two (2) Isollation swithches for tanks 1 & 4, your old boys may find the fuel will stay in the outers if they select "isol"before leaving the old girl standing for weeks.
Sorry to keep sticking my oar in, but I'm very fond of that old girl in particular, flew with her for 100's of hrs.
Just for her long term good though, if you have a very small person or a trained maggot with a wooden leg would be better!, take an occasional look at the main hoop frame in the centre section, only access is through the electrical bay and over the top of the T.R.U's, they can corrode there so heavily, we almost had to scrap one A/C for it, but for a good design team, we managed to splice a repair, close shave though... I'll shut up now.
