Steer well clear of the "lard", unless of course one is in a hurry to go and meet thy maker early..

I can highly recommend Murgatroyds at the traffic lights heading away from EGNM towards Rawdon.

Just don't go for the "Big'Un" unless you have a ginormoust stomach.

I did 'tother week and only managed to get through half the fish. Daughters moggies loved the rest carried out.

Oh stop it the lot of you

We don't have fish & chip shops here, although I'm told there's one close to CYUL that's reasonable, but I just don't think it will match up to the one I used to go to in Whitby, O boy after a full day of wreck fishing we'd go back to shore and pig out, the cod was caught the same day..oh :(

I make my own but I just can't get the batter golden and crunchy, doesn't help when you live more than 1,000 km for the nearest salt water, so even the fish isn't fresh.

Robbie.

key point - the oil needs to be good and hot.

There is a very good new restaurant in Ashburn on Waxpool Rd called Fords Fish Shack.

Good Fish N' Chips there.

Cheers,
Robin
Wow, that is very close - thanks for the tip Robin, I will have to give it a try.
