I would keep the old bike .. probably feel safer with four wheels anyways...
try it like:....

always safer to have
four wheels"
....she'll probably go for it

Not a powered bike person but that does look the dogs danglies Mr B.
Less FS hours. Winter bike. Difficult one.
How about the 'if I kept the Kwak I wouldn't need to buy a back seat for the new bike' - from a suitable distance of course!

I'm willing to make the sacrifice and already have the daughter on my side. However, this is a double-edged sword. SWMBO isn't struck on being ganged up on

I'll have to gag the offspring and play it by ear. I've taken the battery out of the Kwak this morning so it aint goin' nowhere any time soon
