poor ol bugger..... :(( look at the punim on him....

Only one thing I have to say about the aforementioned anomaly
It did happen , din't it :agree: .. yet I haven't been able to reproduce it, either in real time or replay... explain that one before thou 'est send me to mine end
down the alleyway of clubbing and kicking . Arrrrrr!
;)

anyways

Hey those are some great shots Dennis :)

I am having a problem with the Nimrod consistently pulling to the right. It does this on the runway, and it banks slowly to the right of its own accord when airborne. Can someone please tell me how I get rid of this, because it is very annoying!

I guess it would be! If it's pulling to one side on the ground, you're missing at least one engine.. perhaps 2. Can you post details of your OS and what state FSX is in (eg FSX, SP1, SP1+SP2, SP1+ACC or Gold) please. To the best of my knowledge, all the testers tested with either FSX+ACC, FSX Gold or.. FSX with SP1 and SP2 installed. You should be able to jump in and fly.. all 4 engines running and just the lights to turn on *-)

FSX Gold Edition
Windows Vista64

I assumed that all four engines were running at the runway threshold, but maybe not.....

On a side note, how do I change the trim on this plane? I can see what appears to be a trim wheel in the VC, but I can't use it. Does FSX have a keyboard command for that? I have only used three payware planes in FSX to date, and all of them allow me to change the trim in the VC, so I don't know how to do it any other way!

recalibrate Joystick or yoke ?... whichever you have there.

If you use a joystick and have twist for the rudder they do tend to go bad. my logitech wingman does it a little although it is controlable
my saitek was unusable to the point I took the controller apart and cut the wires.

Rudder trim keyboard commands

CTRL+Num Pad ENTER (for right)
CTRL+Num Pad 0 (for left)

There is nothing wrong with my joystick. My other planes fly perfectly fine.

Hiya Mogget :hello:

I'm not 'au fait' with FSX keyboard commands I'm afraid but I'd have guessed at up/down arrows as default. I always have trim assigned to a joystick button which is much easier (for me). I haven't reassigned the buttons in FSX and these still work so I guess the command keys are the same between FS9 and X.
The only thing I can think of that will cause a swing on the ground and you have to fight it is a) a prop aircraft and the realism settings banged up to full or b) an engine out on a multi engined aircraft. You don't suffer a torque effect from a jet so the jet must be running with one or more engines out on one side. In the air, it's different as a fuel imbalance will cause an aircraft to turn to one side but this doesn't apply on the ground.
Hopefully, Brian will be in to give some guidance or a possible explanation as off the top of my head, I can't explain why you're not fired up with all 4 running right from the word go.

Do you start each flight with a default aircraft? Not doing so CAN cause problems (certainly in FS9 if not in FSX) so give that a go if you're not. I start each flight.. regardless of sim version.. with the default Cessna. Once the flight has loaded, I then choose which aircraft I want to fly (it's never the default Cessna) ;)

One thing on the FSX replays.

I've noticed that the current condition of my aircraft can affect how it appears in the replay. This can be frustrating if you are 'frapsing' the replay, but is easily solved (...he says...).

I've seen things such as the wheels not rotating - if I am sat on the apron in-sim, real-time, with the parking brake on whilst watching the replay of a landing, the wheels don't rotate. If I release the brake - Eureka! - the wheels start rotating in the replay.

Whilst you were watching the replay of your flight, perhaps in that part of the flight you had the flaps down, but in realtime your flaps were retracted? Or vicy-vercy?

Just a theory :)
