I think I have just experienced the same problem with the 748 in FSX. Try switching the lights on and off (using the "L" key). See if those missing parts of the panel appear.
Thank you Mogget, that solved the problem!!!!!!!....what a beautiful aircraft!!!!!, no all we need is a fix for the Vanguard so it can be flown in FSX with VC..... :welldone: :welldone:

I am really impressed with the HS748. There aren't too many relatively large planes that I can comfortably control using my rather unique method of flying, but this plane is superb in that respect. It's certainly a lot more stable on final approach than the default KingAir 350, which is a much smaller plane. That still has the old MSFS tendency to "bob up and down" when controlling descent using only the throttle. Thankfully, the Baron and Cessna 172 (the other two planes that I enjoy flying) do not suffer from that problem.

Just after FSX-SP2 came out and caused problems with textures on some FS9 aircraft, the HS.748 included, I set
about finding work-arounds for those aircraft I flew alot that experienced those SP2-induced reflective
texture issues.

I just posted my solution to the problem concerning the HS.748 in a thread over at Sim-Outhouse.
Note that thiese problems are a result of FSX-SP2 changing the way textures are rendered, particularly
those with a RGB of 0,0,0 and NOT a problem with the HS.748.

Here's a link to the thread/post containing my 'FSX fix'....

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... stcount=20

This will eliminate those 'reflective' areas when lights are turned on so you can now
fly this bird 'normally' :)

EDIT: Also, in the basic download file there is a missing texture that causes the pilot and co-pilot seats to be
transparent if viewed from some angles.
The 'fix' for that is to make a COPY of the "748VC_SEAT.bmp" in the 'texture' folder and then
RENAME the COPY to "DM_1-11_VC_SEAT.bmp". That file name is referenced by the model but was not included.

YAAAAAAAY! All hail Gypsy Baron!

Thanks very much for the link to your post about getting rid of light reflections in the VC. I followed those and lo and behold all is now right in the 748 cockpit again.

Cheers CHEERS
