Aaaahh.. Y'know - I think one of the difficulties with the approach of old age is the failure to recognise there are folk even older than we are! I should have known, Peter, as I had visited your most excellent web page several years ago and the July '56 pic of you driving the four-engined Chariot MkII at Wunstorf obviously gives away your age....

All the Best,

pj

Oh yes I remember that chariot...I was wearing a German helmet that Tom Gribble had found abandoned on the Luneberg heath. The helmet had rusted on one side but the other side was pristine with the eagle clutching a swastika. I don't remember who made the chariot, but it went very well. That was just before I left Germany for UK after four years on 266 squadron...Great Days! :)

20 days since it's release and I still can't find a repaint for it anywhere :-O Is this down to the PK being NFFU or because only 6 of us bought it? *-)

Posted a few days ago over at Sim Outhouse:

"A major patch/upgrade is on the way. Repainters please note that there will be a substantial change to the paintkit so please hold off any significant paints for the meantime. Thanks."

Hopefully, once that is out we'll start seeing some paints.
Paul.

8 - I have it as well.

'Bout double price now though for both.

I took it out for a quick (sigh) trot over to St Mary's. I left from Culdrose and picked 'Granddad' up at St Just. Opened the throttle at Culdrose and quickly leapt outside for a goof.. remembering I'd not selected any flap and before I could hit the key.. it was off.. unstuck at around 50kts. Having flown Rick's Chip last night, the FD on the JF model really is pants isn't it  Still.. they're gonna fix it and the PK (calling Peter Watkins! ) so can't grumble. Pity it was thought sufficiently 'accurate' to be released in it's current state but there ya go ;)

By some strange coincidence.. the Chippie service packs are available now (downloading as I type). However.. they're not service packs as far as I can see.. they're full models. Both the Base and Bubble versions have to be downloaded again.. very useful as I'm getting warnings from PlusNet I'm leaping toward my monthly allowance 8)

Also downloading Dave, but without your problem - no limit.
